What do you do at AXD agency, and what does a typical day look like for you?

As Marketing Manager, I manage content marketing for several of our B2B clients and our marketing at AXD. My clients operate in a range of industries including finance, technology and luxury markets. My day tends to involve planning and creating content for multiple channels, such as social media, website and email. We also provide other ad-hoc services, such as SEO and website development.

What’s a project you’re particularly proud of and why?

Over the last few months, I have completed several website projects and I’m super pleased with the results. From having basic website development skills, I have learnt a lot and can build a website that’s not only visually appealing but is optimised for conversion and produces results. I love the creative process of bringing a new brand to life or refreshing a brand to meet the clients’ expectations.

What’s the biggest challenge you solve for clients?

A big part of what we do is deliver a strategic approach to our client’s marketing. Our in-house expertise not only involves the creation and delivery of marketing but the planning process, which is just as important. This gives our clients more time to focus on their business interests, whilst we deliver work aligned to their brand voice, strategy and overall objectives.

What’s one personal goal you’re currently working toward?

As I am pretty involved in the whole marketing process for our clients, I have recently taken a more invested interest in graphic design. Although I wouldn’t class myself as a designer, it’s a skill which I am gradually improving because I enjoy being creative, and because it will only contribute to my role at AXD.

What is a marketing trend you are most excited about right now?

I love to see brands trying to be more human and less corporate. Marketing now is all about storytelling, and the best way to do that is showing the people behind the business. This is how a brand’s audience can build an emotional connection, whether that’s being inspired by someone in the business, and their real journey, or by feeling like their identity or values resonate with the brand in some way.

What’s one hobby you couldn’t live without?

Exercise. It always makes me feel better!
