Alan founded AXD Agency in 2019 after more than a decade working in B2B marketing and strategy. Based in Manchester, he has over 15 years’ experience supporting businesses across SaaS, finance, manufacturing, and other sectors.
Throughout his career, Alan has helped companies win industry awards, attract investment, and scale. He works closely with founders and leadership teams on positioning, messaging, and driving growth through content marketing and sales enablement.
At AXD, Alan leads content and strategic direction for clients. His strength lies in translating complex products, services, and ideas into clear, credible communication that speaks directly to informed, time-poor decision-makers. He brings a practical, commercial mindset to every project.
Having built and grown his own business, Alan understands first-hand the pressures of operating in competitive markets, scaling teams, and entering new sectors across different economic conditions. This perspective shapes how he advises clients: with realism, focus, and an emphasis on long-term value rather than short-term tactics.
Alan believes the B2B marketing industry has reached a point of saturation, with an over-focus on content engagement and an under-focus on function within the sales funnel. In his view, the strongest companies will be those that return to fundamentals: clear positioning, a strong point of view, and expert-led content that educates rather than sells.
He is a strong advocate for founder- and executive-led communication as a way to build credibility, trust, and momentum with buyers.
Outside of work, Alan keeps a close eye on emerging technology and evolving market trends. He enjoys travelling, exploring food scenes around the world, and digging holes on the golf course.
